For this session, I was planning to spend a few hours in the Downtown area again, but as I was crossing the Bay Bridge, I noticed Twin Peaks was covered in fog. I have an absolute love for seeing the fog roll over the hills of San Francisco, so I decided to change my route and go explore the Inner Sunset District instead.

As it turns out, I only took one shot of the fog—the one at the top of the page. Go figure… For everything else, I focused on street level photography. I seldom go in this part of the city, so it was fun to just walk around and look at store facades, and observe the locals live their regular weekend routine.

There are a lot of cafés and restaurants in the area, which gave me the opportunity to get these few shots through windows. I really like the layers that are created by the reflections and the lights inside the café.

Aside from that, as the sun started to burn off the fog, I found a few spots where I could play with shadows and people walking by. In the end, I came home with a handful of shots I like, and another few that I find decent.

I am drawn to the second photograph in the post. I don’t know why.
