Here’s another series of photos from that time in downtown SF, still playing with light and composition. I took several shot of the photo above, some including people walking into the frame, and somehow I manage to mess up all of those. The only usable photo is this one with the empty frame. I still like it, it brings back memories of Christo 🙂

For this one I tried to add someone in the frame and change slightly the composition. It worked better than my attempts with the horizontal composition but still is lacking something.

I like the few splashes of color among an ocean of black and grey as well as the leading lines drawing my attention to the gentleman with his grocery bag.

This is typically the kind of photos for which the aesthetic value is only in the eye of the beholder. I like it. I like the light, the tones, the composition… but I may be alone on that one 🙂
That’s all for today

The gentleman with the shopping bag is a great shot! Love the coloring in all of these. The umbrellas in the first almost look like multiple reflections of the one in front.

I love this set, especially the shot of the sitting area with the yellow umbrellas. It’s a space designed for people but in this instance complete devoid of humans.

Thanks, Khürt! The financial district on an early Sunday morning is quite a desolate place :p
